Many have bared witness to my lifelong battles of self-love, relationships, healthy living, and sobriety. Thankfully, a few have been strong enough to stay near-and-dear and support me through it ALL! They were even so kind to type up a little love, as shared below. ❀

Alison (Al, as I affectionately call her) and I met in 6th grade but became the best of friends 8th grade – likely in a Darwinistic survival tactic for surviving middle school. We’ve kept in touch throughout the years, but found our true common ground again back in 2015 when Al encouraged me to try weight lifting when I was going through some difficulties and stress at my job. I immediately took to it and have looked to Alison as somewhat of an Exercise Yoda through my journey with fitness since then. Having questioned my own relationship with alcohol at times, Al has shared so openly and honestly about her own struggles and brought a bit of normality to something scary so many of us struggle with to various degrees. One of the things we’ve discussed before is the tendency we both have to do something 0% or 5,309,338%. Alcohol has served as a focus for Alison in her past, but I am inspired daily by her desire and ability to now focus herself five billion percent on the things she does for herself instead: exercise, her family, and other passions she pursues. I was so honored to be asked to give a brief glimpse into all of the beautiful and wonderful things I see in Alison and am so excited to watch her dreams come to fruition.

A Fit Fan and Friend

I have known Alison since 2014 on both a professional and personal level. She has been such an inspiration to me as she juggles being a mom to three beautiful kids, always finding time to exercise, and her commitment to sobriety. If I could describe Alison with one word it would be REAL. She is as real as they come and I am so excited to read more about her life adventures as she now shares it with the world.

A Sweet Supporter

Alison and I have been best friends since we were 16 years old. We have always been so different; however, our bond and love for one another has been incredibly strong since day one. I believe in my heart that God brought us together for a specific reason, and the older I get the more I understand why we were placed in each other’s lives. Over the last 15 years, I have been there to witness some of the happiest moments in Alison’s life, as well as some of her darkest moments. I am in awe of her strength each and every day as she journeys through life as a mom, a wife and now her sobriety! I know that Alison’s story is her greatest testimony, one that will impact others in a way she never thought possible. I am so proud of you, Al!
All My Love,
