I like to think of myself as a fairly laid back mom- a non-crunchy kind-of-mom, if you will. I’ve never been one to carry bottles of hand sanitizer in my purse, utilize the cute little cart covers, co-sleep, or use cloth diapers. My kiddos don’t eat strictly organic foods, nor do we eliminate TV or electronics in our house (how the heck would I get anything done?!?).
I, myself, am also very laid back when it comes to my “upkeep.” I’ve never invested a great deal of money on my makeup or moisturizers (gimme all the Wet ‘N Wild and Aveeno, and I’m good). I am more than OK with shopping at Ross or Old Navy (occasionally, I’ll treat myself to a deal at the Gap). And if Groupon doesn’t have a deal for my hair, well…
So I kinda surprised myself when I agreed to try out Theralight’s Thaumaturgic Bio Mist.
Essentially, Bio Mist is a natural skincare solution composed of HOCL, which is meant to aid in the skin’s natural healing. Suggested uses are for fine lines, sunburns, scrapes, enlarged pores, bug bites, itchy skin, and even scar reduction.
When I first read that, I was like, “Can I get a gallon of this stuff?!?” And for the last couple of weeks, I’ve been spraying it at every possible situation. In fact, I now remind myself of the dad from My Big Fat Greek Wedding (as, he firmly believed that spraying Windex would fix everything)!
Our littlest man scraped up his knee- spray it!
Kids are a little red from the pool- spray it!
Washed and dried my face- spray it!
Got the first razor burn of bathing suit season- spray it!
It’s crazy how simple and versatile this mist is! And even though it’s only been a couple of weeks since I’ve been using it, I’ve seen some of its magic.
My face definitely feels and looks more refreshed on the days I’ve sprayed it morning and night. My razor burn healed up so much faster than it typically does. My son’s knee seemed to heal much nicer, and I’ll be keeping an eye on our kids sunburns to see if they even peel.
All-in-all, I’m pretty impressed with this all natural solution. Although I doubt it’ll end up in my purse anytime soon, I will keep a bottle within reach at the house.
